About Dr. MatT Teeter

I grew up in Germany, son of missionaries and moved from Germany to Fayette, Missouri in 1992.  I met my beautiful wife and best friend, Suzanne in 8th grade at church.  I attended Truman State, William Woods University, and completed my Doctorate from St. Louis University in Education Executive Leadership.  My teaching career started in Mexico, Missouri where I taught and coached middle school students.  I was then an assistant principal in Jefferson City & Kansas City before becoming a middle school principal.  For seven years I served as superintendent in Smithton and Willard School Districts. I was actively involved in our state association (MASA). In 2019, I was honored to be named MSPRA Administrator of the Year and 2018-2019 NSPRA Superintendent to Watch.  After my final year as Leadership Development Coordinator for the Springfield Public Schools, I transitioned into starting my own business that provides Executive Coaching and Leadership Equipping for educational leaders. After 20 years in education, serving 17 as an administrator, I was blessed to become one of the youngest retired educators in the State of Missouri.  I love serving, encouraging, equipping others, as well as fighting for leaders' highest potential!
